Astro Star Quest 09 Mv shoot : Min MV shoot Vernon's Pride Debut
As i told you guys besides my close friend my brother also join the competition.....
the Astro Star Quest MV director competition ...
shooting the song of the final 5 composer and the final 5 singers
there's 5 finalist all together Ryan, Alvin, Yoke, Min and Kah Fai
so Edmond took the opportunity to shoot Kah Fai's MV then Vernon my Bro took on Min's MV
both of them have different taste and style ...
Vernon is the emo and lomo dude....
shooting his MV will bring in alot of Taiwan elements as he is an undergraduate from Ming Chuan University Tao Yuan.... so his style will also be a little bit different from homegrown directors
Vernon plays with setting elements, lighting elements and all the atmosphere elements
Vernon don't have much props as Edmond
but he is one fussy guy when it comes to his work (thats a good thing though because he is serious in his work)
finding his location is very hard as he needs full length glass window, bath tub, modern interior house and anything unlike Malaysia ....
i was like think aren't we in Malaysia ? then how to find things thats not Malaysian ?
i still remember he said
Vernon: you got tv mah ?
Gino: got why ?
Vernon: i need it and how does it look like ?
Gino: its silver color and kinda old d ...
Vernon: got any that don't look like Malaysian TV ?
i was like huh ??? aren't all tv the same ???
hahahaha
have make alot phone calls and pull alot of strings and finally found a place he needs
he will be shooting Min's MV with a mandarin title "The Best Ending" song of sorrow too just like Kah Fai's
its a challenge with both different director's different style and we have to change according with time of a day only (Edmonds shoot on Saturday and Vernon's Sunday)
as usual there alot of pics to share too

Astro Star Quest 09 Mv shoot : Kah Fai MV shoot Edmond's 1st Love Story
last week i help my close friend Edmond to shoot this MV for ASQ09 one of the final 5 Kah Fai's MV
well it was an experience on challenging newer grounds as Edmond's style is different this time
he challenge alot of colors rather then gray, black and white....
and this time Edmond is taking on a love story and a sweet one that is this time
so its very different from all his previous master piece
well Kah Fai's song is kinda nise his song "Next Life" a Cantonese song...
u can catch it on MyFm because Astro is selling the final 5 song very hard....
this time i did feel the challenge in props .....
the challenge of moving a big gigantic props from 1 scene to another
well its not easy but i have to do it too
well been multitasking finding location and making props
luckily the outcome is good
i really like it alot
can feel the sorrowness
as usual i will be sharing a few pics with you guys ...
this is Samson the "bao mu" penjaga of the finalist
Angel the hairstylist zusshing Kah Fai's hair

the hard part moving 25 balloons from Section 14 to Kepong's Metropolitan Park
lip-syncing part of the MV
don't he look like Hins Cheung ???
well the main criteria for the competition is the MV has to be shoot by using Canon's new EOS 500 D with video function just like Nikon's D90
so its a challenge to shoot a MV with just a DSLR instead of a DVCam

well we have alot of group pics to be exact
look what i caught .... shhhhh.... paparazzi haahaha

metropolitan park is a very windy place to be
balloons a significant symbol of the MV
Edmond adjusting the camera and viewing back his shots
very romantic leh ??? (Kah Fai and Carine)
fui yoh...... narcisisstic
well shooting flying balloons in a place where people play kite is a very hard place to shoot
so balloons a bursting everywhere luckily we still manage to get a good shot of the balloons
well hope you guys will watch the MV out on 15th onwards this months

Shooting Again
this time i am still under Applebox Asia....
but this time its not tvc its just a film from Indonesia
the movie is called "Bebek Belur"
god knows whats it means...
wakakaka
the main actor is a TVC star name Elie Aiboy fame from Powerade commercial
the guy saying powerade is him....
well i am involve in this shooting for 2 days
well rm100 per day but very immense boredom and tiredness.....
well tomorrow call time at 6 am in putrajaya
so god damn early ....
hope this time it will end earlier lar....
gosh ....
he is actualy kinda friendly...
he ask me on how much do we get pay here as an extra...
well to his surprise extra's in malaysia have high payment ...
compared to indonesia they only got pay around RM4 per day after converted from rupiah...
and he said "F**k indonesia" in frnt of us hahahaha
well he is so short
so expect him to be tall though hahahahahah
so got to sleep early
as i need to wake up early
